Assistant Professor of Sociology
Full Time, Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position in Sociology
Job Summary: Bethel University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Sociology.
Job Responsibilities: This is a nine month academic position with a teaching load of 12 hours per semester (four courses with three preparations) and student academic advising responsibilities. Summer teaching is available. Candidate should be prepared to offer courses in Principles of Sociology, Social Theories, and a variety of other upper level courses. Faculty members are also expected to participate in department and university governance activities as well as other university events.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Sociology and a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Social Work from a C.S.W.E. accredited institution. The successful candidate must be willing to participate in the development of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Social Work program.
