Assistant Professor of Chemistry


Job Responsibilities:  Nine month academic position with a teaching load of 12 hours per semester and student academic advising responsibilities.  Summer teaching available. Candidate should be prepared to offer courses in General Chemistry, Introductory Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry and labs related to these courses.  Faculty members are expected to participate in department and university governance, curriculum development, program assessment, safety and environmental activities, community and/or professional organizations, as well as other university events.


Minimum Qualifications: 18 graduate hours in chemistry and a Masters degree in chemistry or a closely related discipline. A Doctorate in inorganic or physical chemistry with teaching experience at the undergraduate level is desired.  Review of applications will begin immediately, teaching responsibilities will begin August 2014.
