Pre-Requisites
Prerequisite Courses for Program Admission
- Applicants must have successfully completed or be currently enrolled in the following five (5) courses, and receive a grade of “B” (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better in each of these prerequisite courses to be considered for program admission. However, a student may be considered for conditional admittance if s/he received a grade of “C” in no more than one (1) of these courses:
- ATR 100 – Athletic Taping and Bracing (1)
- ATR 200 – Foundations of Athletic Training (3)
- BIO 316 – Medical Terminology (3)
- HEA 330 – Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries (3)
- HSC 230 – Emergency Care in Sport and Physical Activity (3)
Prerequisite Laboratory Science Course
- Applicants must also successfully complete at least one (1) of the following laboratory science courses with a grade of “C” or better, prior to beginning the Professional Phase of the Athletic Training Program:
- BIO 111 – Introduction to Biology I w/ Lab (4)
- BIO 309 – Anatomy and Physiology I w/ Lab (4)
- CHE 111 or 121 – Chemistry I w/ Lab (4)
