Instructor/Assistant Professor of Music (Music Education/Percussion)
Job Summary: Bethel University is accepting applications for the position of Instructor/Assistant Professor of Music.
Job Responsibilities: This position will include teaching Applied Percussion and directing the Percussion Ensemble and Wind Ensemble. Additional duties include teaching Percussion Methods, Elementary Music Methods and Secondary Music Methods along with the observation of student teachers. Based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience, additional duties may be assigned. Faculty members are also expected to participate in division and university governance activities as well as other university events.
Minimum Qualifications: A Doctorate is preferred, but a Master's Degree in Music Education will be considered. Prior leadership and teaching experience is preferred. The candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to quality teaching and student mentoring. Review of applications will begin immediately, and the position will start August 1, 2016. This is a non-tenure track, full-time faculty position.
