Office of Vice President of College of Arts and Sciences
Welcome to the Bethel University College of Arts and Sciences. It is my privilege to share with you about the traditional undergraduate programs in the College of Arts and Sciences and about the residential life experience available to traditional undergraduate students. The College of Arts and Sciences is steeped in tradition with many of our programs dating back to 1842 when Bethel began. In many ways, the College of Arts and Sciences ties our school’s past to present day Bethel University which is a multi-faceted institution of higher learning. It is Bethel’s mission that allows each of the university’s very different colleges and schools to collectively move Bethel into the future.
The College of Arts and Sciences is intently focused on this mission, which tasks us with creating opportunities for students to develop to their highest potential as whole persons. In everything we do we consider how students will be further enriched intellectually, spiritually, socially and physically. Just as our mission states, the College of Arts and Sciences is guided by the values of the Christian tradition, and we encourage our students to seek fulfillment in their personal, social and religious lives. We provide the tools for developing integrity, leadership skills and the desire to search for truth and knowledge throughout life.
I am thrilled you are learning more about Bethel University’s College of Arts Sciences, and I hope you will determine that we have what you need to develop to your highest potential.
Please ask questions, and give us the opportunity to help you achieve your goals and dreams.
Nancy Bean, Vice President, College of Arts and Sciences
