Academic Search Premier (EbscoHost) is a multi-disciplinary database that provides full text for more than 4,500 journals, including full text for more than 3,700 peer-reviewed titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles. 
A.D.A.M. Interactive Anatomy A.D.A.M. Interactive Anatomy Online contains a comprehensive digital database of detailed anatomical images, including illustrated, fully dissectible male and female bodies.  The database includes point-and-click identification capabilities of over 20,000 anatomical structures and is peer-reviewed by a team of leading anatomists to ensure anatomical accuracy. You can dissect anatomy layer by layer, identify and review pinned atlas anatomy structures, understand anatomy in a clinical context, and interact with 3D models.

The e-Skeletons Project is an interactive website that allows the user to compare human and primate anatomy. Primate skeletons included are: the chimpanzee, the orangutan, the common marmoset, and the ruffed lemur. Ebrary is a comprehensive subscription database of e-books and other authoritative materials that includes more than 37,000 titles in 16 key subject areas. Students will need to download the ebrary reader onto their computer in order to read the available items. There is a download tab on the main page of ebrary that you may click to download.

The Encyclopedia of Life includes individualized pages for more than 1,000,000 species of plants, animals, and microorganisms (though some pages are less complete than others). Eventually, the Encyclopedia will be an online reference and database on all 1.8 million species currently known to science and will stay current by capturing information on newly discovered and formally described species. Environmental Studies and Policy Collection Environmental Studies and Policy Collection (InfoTrac) provides robust coverage of the field of environmental issues and policy.  This collection, which includes nearly 200 journals, provides instant access to the multiple viewpoints of this volatile field of study, including perspectives from the scientific community, governmental policy makers, as well as corporate interests.
Expanded Academic ASAP (InfoTrac) provides information on topics from arts and the humanities to social sciences, science and technology.  This database meets research needs across all academic disciplines. Gale Virtual Reference Library (InfoTrac) is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but now you can access them online from the library or remotely 24/7. Because each library creates its own eBook collection, the content you see may vary if you use the database at different libraries (your school, your public library, or your office).
General OneFile (InfoTrac) is a one-stop source for news and periodical articles on a wide range of topics: business, computers, current events, economics, education, environmental issues, health care, hobbies, humanities, law, literature and art, politics, science, social science, sports, technology, and many general interest topics. International Plant Names Index is a database of the names and associated basic bibliographical details of seed plants, ferns and fern allies. Its goal is to eliminate the need for repeated reference to primary sources for basic bibliographic information about plant names. The data are freely available and are gradually being standardized and checked. IPNI will be a dynamic resource, depending on direct contributions by all members of the botanical community. JSTOR provides access to archived backfiles of journals in arts & sciences, language & literature, general science, ecology & botany, and music. The full-text of journals is provided for each title beginning with Volume 1. Recent volumes may or may not be included, depending on the agreement between JSTOR and the publishers. Some titles may be from 2 to 5 years behind current publishing. Journals may be browsed or searched.

Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center (InfoTrac) is a one-stop source for information on today's hottest social issues. Drawing on acclaimed series published by Greenhaven Press and other Gale imprints, OVRC features viewpoint articles, topic overviews, full-text magazine, academic journal, and newspaper articles, primary source documents, statistics, images and podcasts, and links to websites. New to the database are Lexile reading levels for periodicals and an integrated national and state curriculum standards search with content correlated to the standards.
Points of View (Ebsco) is a full-text database designed to provide students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of 250 current issues. Similar to the Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center.
Preserving and Digitizing Plant Images: Linking Plant Images and Databases for Public Access is a result of a two-year project by the Missouri Botanical Garden, sponsored by a National Leadership Award from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
