Borrowing

 

The Library @ Bethel University strives to provide the print resources students need for the papers and projects in any discipline. Another goal is to provide up-to-date and authoritative reference resources for academic and personal information needs. Our third goal is to provide access to popular fiction books, magazines, and newspapers that students, faculty, and staff can enjoy at their leisure. While these resources are provided primarily for the students, faculty and staff of the campus community, these resources are also available to the McKenzie community at large.

Policies

Books:

• Students
  • Up to 4 books may be checked out at one time
  • Books may be checked out for a two-week period with one renewal (unless someone is on the waiting list for that book)
  • Items placed on Course Reserve by professors are available for the length of time specified by that professor
  • Fines for overdue books are $0.50 per day per book
     
• Faculty and Staff
  • No limit on the number of items checked out at one time.
  • Books may be checked out for a 6-month period. However, we may request you return something sooner if another patron has requested it.
  • Fines for overdue books are $0.50 per day per book
     
• Community patrons
  • Up to 3 books may be checked out at one time
  • Books may be checked out for a two-week period with one renewal (unless someone is on the waiting list for that book)
  • Fines for overdue books are $1.00 per day per book
     

DVDs

• Students/Faculty/Staff
  • 2 DVDs may be checked out at one time
  • DVDs are checked out for a two-week period
  • Fines for overdue DVDs are $0.50 per day per DVD
  • Faculty may check-out DVDs for a longer period if needed for a class
     
• Community Patrons - May not check out DVDs

Reference books, newspapers, and magazines are available for in-library use only.
