Research Resources

Assignment Calculator, a tool from the University of Minnesota, helps you plan out a research project, so you're no longer stuck throwing together a paper or project at the last minute.  It also offers tips on creating a research timeline, finding the right (and subject specific) resources, and planning research strategies.

EasyBib allows you to format your research references.  This site makes it easy for you to create bibliographies and citations for your research projects.  Don't forget to register to save your citations!  For more information on how to use EasyBib, check out the PowerPoint tutorial.

Note: EasyBib formats citations for a number of citation formats.  However, it does not cover ASA format, which is required by some sociology classes.  Online guides to ASA have been created by Purdue University's Online Writing Lab (be sure to use the "next resource" button at the bottom of the page to access all four pages dedicated to ASA) and by the California State University (Los Angeles) library.

Wondering if a website is reliable?  Use the C.R.A.P. test to help you evaluate Internet resources.
