Transcripts

Q. What are my options for requesting a transcript?

A. It is the policy of Bethel University to use “Transcripts on Demand” for ALL transcript requests. We no longer provide or print transcripts, official nor unofficial, in the Registrar’s office for current or former students. Transcripts on Demand TM by Scrip-Safe International is a trusted agent for processing online transcript requests. This process is completely secure.

 

Q. What do I have to do to use “Transcripts on Demand?”

A. The first time you use this service, you will set up your account with Transcripts on Demand TM. You will provide your current/former names, address, student ID, and other information. You will be able to log in to your account and update your information whenever you need. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act requires your signature in order to release your academic records. You will be required to complete a Consent Form and send it to Scrip-Safe by fax, mail or image upload. This Consent Form is created as part of the account set-up process and your signed copy will remain on file with Scrip-Safe to cover your future Bethel University - McKenzie transcript requests through Transcripts on Demand TM.

 

Q. How much does each transcript cost?

A. Transcript costs depend on the delivery methods which are listed and priced on the “Transcripts on Demand” website. To access the Transcripts on DemandTM service, go to https://iwantmytranscript.com/bethelu

 

Q. What are my methods for payment?

A. You may pay for your transcript via credit card (Visa, Master Card or Discover). Transcripts on DemandTM uses the most current security available to protect your credit card and personal information.

 

Q. How long does it take to get a transcript?

A. Transcript requests are processed every business day, and, if an account is clear, transcripts are released normally by the next business day.You may check the status of your transcript request at any time by logging on to Transcripts on DemandTM and clicking on the "Review Past Orders" tab. Q. Can I order an unofficial transcipt?

A. No. All Bethel University transcripts are official documents, printed on security paper and bearing the Registrar’s signature and the University seal.

 

Q. I ordered a transcript but discovered I had a financial hold. Once I clear up my hold, how long will it be before my transcript is released?

A. It is the responsibility of the student to notify the Registrar’s office that the hold has been lifted. Once the hold is lifted, requested transcripts are released normally by the next business day.

 

Q. Can I place an order for, or pick up a transcript for someone else?

A. No. Because transcripts are confidential documents, only the person to whom they belong can request them.

 

Questions of Interest to Alumni

Q. I misplaced or damaged my diploma. How can I obtain another copy?

A. To obtain another copy of your diploma, please send a written request either via e-mail to hamesb@bethelu.edu or via mail to: Bethel University, Office of the University Registrar, 325 Cherry Avenue, McKenzie, TN 38201. It will take approximately 3 to 4 weeks after you place your order to process a new diploma. The cost to obtain another copy of your diploma is $25.

 

Q. I have moved and/or changed my name. Who should I notify at Bethel?

A. Once you have graduated, your name and address on your student record remain the same. However, Bethel’s Office of Development would like to have your new information. Contact the Office of Development at 731-352-4044 or visit the Alumni Website to update your name and/or address.
