Direct Grad Plus Loan

(for Graduate Students only)

If a Graduate student is interested in obtaining a Grad Plus loan, the student must follow the steps below.

STEP 1:  Request a Federal Direct Grad Plus Loan: The student will request a Grad Plus loan. A credit check will be initiated. If the loan is approved, the student will then complete Step 2 and 3 below unless they already have a Direct Grad Plus Loan MPN and Entrance on file with the Department of Education. If the loan is denied, the student will be given the option to obtain an endorser or appeal the decision.
STEP 2:  Entrance Counseling: All NEW borrowers with Bethel University must complete this federal requirement.
STEP 3:  Master Promissory Note (MPN):  All NEW DIRECT LOAN borrowers must complete a Master Promissory Note.  Once completed, it is good for 10 years.
