Wednesday October 2

Blessing of the Animals

5:30 pm, Alumni Garden - As we share in this ancient and liturgical service, we commemorate the life of St. Francis of Assisi and his love for all of God’s creatures great and small. The officiates will be the Reverend Dr. Anne Hames, University Chaplain, and the Reverend Dr. Jon Carlock, Professor of Religion and Philosophy. Bethel family, community, alumni and their pets are invited to participate. Light refreshments (pet treat buffet will be sponsored by PetSmart) and fellowship will follow. Photographers will be on hand to capture the moments. Portrait sessions are available from 4:30 to 5:15 at the Log Cabin and immediately following the service. *Please remember leashes, carriers, etc. for the safety of your pet and others.

9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Campbell Hall - Pick up your tickets and name tags; make any last minute reservations you might have forgotten to make, and more! 
 
13th Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament
10:00 AM, Carroll Lake Golf Club - Reservations Required, $220 per team/$55 per person - Fee include greens fee, cart, lunch & prizes. Registration begins at 9:00AM. Division of Music Recital Hour
Noon, L.J Turner Recital Hall, Marr’s Stockton Music Center - Enjoy choral and instrumental performances by Bethel University music students.
 
Let’s Go Shoot! 
2:00-5:00 PM, Carroll County Shooting Sports Park - 
Reservations Required - $20/person - Join our nationally-
recognized shooting team for an afternoon at the new Carroll County Shooting Sports Park where you can shoot a round of skeet or trap. Each round will take about an hour unless you choose to stay for the cookout. $20 fee includes shuttle service to and from campus, ammunition for one round of trap or skeet and a twilight cruise on the lake ending with a cookout. WANT TO GO FISHING?
2:00 PM-5:00 PM, Carroll County Lake - Reservations Required - $20/person - Test your luck with the best Wildcat anglers in town and spend a little time on the beautiful Carroll County Lake.The $20 fee includes shuttle service to and from campus, all the equipment you need for an afternoon of fishing and a twilight cruise on the lake ending with a cookout. *Want to do both? That’s possible! Schedule the earliest time for shooting and the hour immediately following for fishing.  Worried about not being back on campus for the Alumni Award and Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner?  Don’t be. Shuttles will run hourly and we’ll have you back in plenty of time.

Alumni Dinner, Athletic Hall of Fame Inductions and Alumni Award Presentations 
6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Board Room at the Vera Low Center for Student Enrichment, Crisp Wing -  Reservations are Required - $15/person - Catch up on all that is going on at Bethel University. Learn about our future plans and visit with old friends.The 2013 Alumni Awards and Athletic Hall of Fame Inductions will be celebrated during the dinner plus special recognition of the Class of 1963.

BONFIRE AND SPIRIT RALLY
8:30 PM, Parking Area behind Wildcat Stadium - Let’s get fired up for Saturday’s game! Join the Wildcat Marching Band, the Wildcat Cheerleaders, the Wildcat Football Team, alumni, faculty and staff in a revival of this special tradition. If you remember them fondly, you won’t want to miss this. If you’ve never been to a bonfire, you CAN’T miss it!
 
COFFEE HOUSE
10:00 PM, Daily Grind at the Marr’s Stockton Music Building (formerly the University Center) - Coffee House is BACK and on Friday night!  We’re inviting alumni to showcase their talent along with current students, faculty and staff. WILDCAT 5K RUN
8:00 AM, Baker Fieldhouse - 5K sponsored by the Bethel Cross Country Team and hosted by Coach Brandon Kilburn, phone 731-412-8824 or email kilburnb@bethelu.edu. The race will begin at 8:00AM  Registration is required as well as a $10 entry fee, and the first 15 registrants will receive a Wildcat Run Kit.

BASEBALL/CROSS COUNTRY
11:00 AM until 2:00 PM - Located at Wildcat Field - SOFTBALL STYLE ALUMNI GAME. Immediately following the game THE 3rd ANNUAL TIMMY KILBURN SHRIMP BOIL! TAILGATE WILDCAT STYLE!
Noon until 2:00 PM - Located in Wildcat Alley - Music, specialty food vendors and the first ever WILDCAT STRUT!!!  You won’t want to miss this!
ULTIMATE TAILGATE COMPETITION
Noon until 2:00 PM - Located in Wildcat Alley - It’s the Ultimate Tailgate Competition- Reservations are required as well as a $50 entry fee ($25 for Student Organizations)!  Join some of the best tailgaters in the county and show off your Wildcat Style.  Judging will begin at 1:00 PM.  There will be 3 divisions for tailgating: 1) Students, 2) Alumni, 3) Others (non-student, non-alumni). Prizes will be awarded to the top tailgating spots in each division. WILDCAT FOOTBALL
2:00 PM, Wildcat Stadium - Bethel vs  Bluefield Rams  GO CATS GO!!!! Homecoming Royalty, Alumni Award Winners and Athletic Hall of Fame Winners, Spirit Week Winners, Golden Grads will be recognized during halftime along with a spectacular performance by the Wildcat Marching Band.
 
SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) Reunion Mixer
5:00 to 6:00 PM, Carroll Lake Country Club - Join Kelly Sanders-Kelley and alumni SIFE members for a relaxed gathering to cap off your Homecoming Weekend.  
 
ALPHA PHI SIGMA’s 75th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
6:00 to 8:00 PM, Carroll Lake Country Club -  Alumnae Sisters are invited to share in this very special anniversary celebration. Reservations required/$30 per person.
