The Dedication and opening of the Vera Low Center for Student Enrichment.
2012 marks Bethel’s 170th year! It’s a year of celebrating where we have been and where we will go from here. We’re even bringing parts of that celebration to you. Dave Roberts will be in Texas re-establishing alumni chapters with organizational meetings to be held in late January. We hope to have more alumni gatherings in the coming year, in different parts of the country. If you would like to be a part of that, contact me or ‘like’ Bethel University on Facebook.
We do love to come to you, but even more, we love it when you come to see us…..so………don’t forget to save the date for HOMECOMING 2012... October 18-20 with special events all that week!
More details to come about upcoming events, and, as always, we love to hear your thoughts about what would make a Bethel alumni event more special to you!
The Bethel Scrapbook by Madison Irving
Madison Irving, BA'10, and Bethel University staff writer/photographer saw a need and filled it. While working in the PR department during her final year at Bethel, Madison discovered a treasure...boxes and boxes of photographs and knew that something should be done with the faces and memories or they would be lost forever. Throughout the year she has collected the stories and photos of Bethel from 1842 to present and has compiled it into a book. The Bethel Scrapbook was previewed during Homecoming 2010 and will be available for purchase during Homecoming 2011. If you are interested in buying a copy OR if you have a Bethel story to tell through pictures or words, or both- please contact Madison or Myra Carlock, Director of Alumni Affairs. You never know when or where they might show up and we love to hear them!
