Emma Koelling, Global Studies, Peer Adviser

"As a Pre-Professional Health major and travel enthusiast, I, Emma Koelling, am excited to be a part of the Global Studies Program, here at Bethel University!  I fell in love with international travel the summer before my senior year of high school, when I traveled to Cambodia on a mission trip.  Following that, the next summer I made my way south, spending some time in El Salvador.  With my new love for international missions and travel, I came to Bethel University and found the Global Studies Program.  As a freshman I fell in love with this program as I joined a group headed to Peru.  Being in many other areas of the world previously I had an idea as to what it would be like, yet I remained speechless upon the sights set before me in South America. As we made the trek to Machu Picchu, I could not help but be in complete awe of the work of God’s hands.  The Global Studies Program has advanced my knowledge of international travel, has deepened my love for experiencing new cultures, and has provided me opportunities to love people around the world.  The relationships I have forged through this program have been priceless and the memories I have made will be cherished forever.  God has given me a heart for missions and I am overjoyed that I am able to carry this passion onto my campus where others may fall in love with it as well.  The Bethel University Global Studies Program provides a prime opportunity to grow spiritually, physically, socially, and intellectually. Please contact me if you are interested in learning more about you can live out the mission of BU across the globe."
