Lambda Sigma was founded in 1937 as an honorary group of the Phi Delta Sigma Fraternity, and we were called the “Little Sisters.” In 1941 the Little Sisters gained a constitution and were renamed Lambda Sigma, making Lambda Sigma the oldest female social group at Bethel. Our colors are black and gold. Snoopy is our mascot, and our motto is Love and Service. Our aim as an organization is to promote an atmosphere of sisterly love and fellowship. Most importantly though, as a sisterhood we strive to let the light of Christ shine through us in hopes that through our testimonies others will see the love of Christ in action. “And He said to them: ‘go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” - Mark 16:15.
"Lambda Sigma is more than just a sorority to me -- it's a group of ladies I have laughed with, had fun with, cried with and and have been strengthened by. Most of all it's a group of ladies I call my sisters."
