Brian Hill is the founding director of the Renaissance Theatre program at Bethel University. Renaissance Theatre is in its 4th year of presenting Broadway quality shows to the communities of West Tennessee.

Through the Renaissance theatre program, Brian has directed and designed sets for OKLAHOMA!, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR© DREAMCOAT, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, THE MATCHMAKER, SEUSSICAL, GOD’S FAVORITE, BYE BYE BIRDIE, DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SOME ENCHANTED EVENING, THE CURIOUS SAVAGE, INTO THE WOODS and GODSPELL.  He also has directed over 20 children’s theatre productions and designed sets for church programs throughout the southeast.

Some of Brian’s favorite roles that he has performed include Benny Southstreet in GUYS AND DOLLS, Sancho Panza in MAN OF LA MANCHA, an ensemble member in the Dixie Players production of GODSPELL, and Seth in CHILDREN OF EDEN

Brian received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.  He is married to Rhonda and they have two daughters, Kathryn Elisa and Brooklyn McKayla.



Assistant Director of Renaissance Theatre

Aubrey Doyle is the assistant director of Renaissance Theatre. Aubrey received her Bachelor of Science degree from Bethel University.

As a member of the Renaissance program, Aubrey has appeared in Oklahoma!, Bye Bye Birdie, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Fiddler on the Roof, Into the Woods and others, as well as serving as choreographer for these and other productions. Some of Aubrey's favorite roles include Ado Annie in Oklahoma!, Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof, Kim in Bye Bye Birdie, and a Bird Girl in Seussical!

She is also the director for Renaissance ACTS, an exciting new part of Renaissance Theatre.
