Bethel's Burroughs Learning Center to Host Thornton Wilder Discussion

Bethel University’s Burroughs Learning Center (the school’s library) will host a discussion of Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town” and “the Bridge of San Luis Rey” this Thursday, Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m.
     Thornton Wilder was an American playwright and novelist who is probably best known for his play “Our Town.” He was the recipient of three Pulitzer Prizes.
     The discussion is part of a month-long community reading event conducted by the Dixie Carter Performing Arts and Enrichment Center known as The Big Read.
     The discussion, which precedes the Dixie’s Jan. 30 presentation of Wilder’s “Our Town,” is free and open to the public.
     Bethel University’s Burroughs Learning Center is located on its main campus in McKenzie.
