An open house was held on Tuesday, Jan. 26, for faculty, staff and students of Bethel to view the school's new student health center. Located at 153 Bethel Court, the facility will be operated by Student Health Director Natasha House, R.N. The center will offer unlimited free visits to all undergraduate students for minor health complaints. Other services will include: limited lab tests, vaccines and immunizations (with a minimum charge), allergy shots, blood pressure checks, as well as a number of assessments and preventive and wellness resources.
Other staff members include: Medical Provider, Dave Lutz, PA-C; Medical Director, Dr. Volker Winkler, and Insurance Clerk, Anna Mathews.
"We want to remind students that Bethel's student health center does not take the place of their primary care providers and that we do not dispense or refill pain medications or other chronic medications," said student health center director, Natasha House.
Bethel University employees and Bethel University Success and Graduate Students can utilize the student health center for minor health complaints at a nominal charge.
Clinic hours will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The center is scheduled to open Monday, Feb. 1.
Bethel University Student Health Center is co-sponsored by the McKenzie Medical Center.
