Bethel University Singers Headed to Carnegie Hall

The Bethel University Singers have been invited to be a part of the Masterworks Festival Chorus at Carnegie hall in New York City on Monday, Feb. 22. The group’s director, Dr. Beth Everett, has been chosen to be one of the professional soloists who will accompany the chorus. The New York City Chamber Orchestra will also accompany.
The Masterworks Festival Chorus event will, in part, commemorate the centennial of the University of Southern Mississippi. Under the direction of Southern Mississippi Choral Activities Director Dr. Gregory Fuller, the concert will feature a new work entitled “An American Requiem” and a Mozart Mass. Manhattan Concert Productions is coordinating the event.
The Bethel University Singers will depart for the New York trip on Feb. 19. They will spend two days in rehearsals and will have the opportunity to attend a Broadway show before their performance on Feb. 22.
