Bethel begins New Residence Hall -- Completion Date Anticipated for August 2010

Site work has begun on a new residence hall at Bethel that will house 266 students. the expected completion date is August 2010.

Bethel has begun site work and is moving forward with construction of a new residence hall that will house 266 students, according to President Bob Prosser. The project is scheduled for completion in August of this year just in time for the fall 2010 semester.
“With the interest that is being shown in Bethel at this time, there is definitely a need for additional student housing,” said Prosser.
The site for the new residence hall is on the north side of campus between the school’s baseball field and the football stadium parking lot.
“We’re very excited about being able to get this project started,” said Prosser.
According to Prosser, the Bethel Board of Trustees approved the construction of the residence hall in a called session this past December.
The residence hall being built will be more than twice as large as any of Bethel’s current dormitories, and its configuration will be suites that house eight students each.
The residence hall begins as Bethel nears completion on the Ray and Linda Morris Science Complex, which will also be completed in time for the fall 2010 semester.
