Opening Convocation, a worship service initiating the beginning of a new school year, was held for Bethel's College of Liberal Arts on Tuesday, Aug. 31. The Rev. Dr. Scott Sealy, senior pastor of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Covington, Tenn., served as speaker.
     Sealy challenged students, faculty and staff to integrate their Christian beliefs with their learning and with their vocations. He challenged them to resist the urge to keep their faith as a private experience and to instead let it co-exist with all elements of their lives.
