Annual Renaissance Christmas Shows Continue This Weekend -- Limited Tickets Still Available

Bethel University’s annual Renaissance Christmas Shows coninue this Friday, Dec. 10  at 7 p.m., with performances this weekend also at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 and at 2 p.m., and 7 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 12.
     According to Karen Jeffrey, administrative director for Renaissance, a few tickets are still available for Sunday evening, Dec. 12 show that was added to accommodate more people. .
     “We knew there were individuals who did not get to purchase tickets,” said Jeffrey. “We added the Dec. 12 evening show to give those people a chance to see a performance and now those tickets are limited.”
     The annual event is a medley of Christmas songs and interpretations both religious and secular performed by Bethel’s Renaissance performing arts group. All shows will be in the Bethel Performing Arts Center except for the Dec. 12 evening performance.
     “The show we’ve added will actually be performed in Bouldin Auditorium in the Dickey Fine Arts Building on campus,” Jeffrey said.
     Jeffrey said the added show makes eight performances in all.
     The Dec. 12 evening performance begins at 7 p.m. Tickets for that show are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Those interested in purchasing tickets may contact Jeffrey at 731-352-6445, or they may come to the Bethel University Bookstore in the Marrs-Stockton Student Center.
