Bethel University and Henry County Medical Center are excited to announce the date for a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Diagnostic Center and a Bethel University Paris, Tenn., campus.
On Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 4 p.m. at the south end of the proposed Diagnostic Center and Bethel University in Paris, various dignitaries will gather at the former Pet Milk Company location to break ground.
Guest speakers will include Sam Tharpe, City of Paris Mayor; Brent Greer, Henry County Mayor; Tom Gee, Administrator of Henry County Medical Center; Dr. Robert Prosser, President of Bethel University, Steve Prosser, Vice President for University Administration and Larry Crawford, Henry County Alliance.
A performance by Renaissance and a small reception will end the ceremony.
“HCMC is excited about the expansion of our imaging services to better serve the outpatient needs of our community.  We think the partnership with Bethel will also expand the educational opportunities for health professionals in our region” says Tom Gee.
“We’re excited as well about Bethel’s future facility with Henry County Medical Center,” said Steve Prosser. “This endeavor will allow us to expand healthcare offerings. There are so many possibilities not to mention that the building will also provide spillover classroom space for our Success program.”

The facility, approximately 20 miles from Bethel's main McKenzie campus, will become one of a number of Tennessee satellite campuses for the school.
