Bethel University had its second annual Relay for Life Kickoff on Tuesday, Sept. 17,  in the Odom Lecture hall with huge success.

More than 50 students, faculty and staff attended to show their support for the Fight against Cancer. American Cancer Society Representative David Lane opened up with explaining how Relay for Life is more than just a fundraiser. Relay is a life-changing experience. Every person in the community has a chance to celebrate, remember, and fight back. And every person who participates joins others around the globe as part of this worldwide movement to end cancer.

Kayla Dyer, a Senior Bethel University Student, shared her moving story of battling cancer twice and defeating it! A short Luminaria Ceremony was held to remember those who had lost their fight in the battle with cancer. Both experiences were very moving, motivating four teams to sign up that night alone!
