Perryman Presented University Service Award

Steve Perryman is congratulated by Myra Carlock, Director of Alumni and University Events, after being presented the Bethel University Service Award.

 

Steve Perryman, Treasurer of Bethel University’s Board of Trustees and Vice President of Finance for the school, was awarded the Bethel University Service Award during the 2013 Homecoming Alumni Dinner on Friday, Oct. 4. Perryman was recognized with the award because of his continued support to Bethel through his 10 years of service on the school’s board. Also, Perryman, a seventh generation Cumberland Presbyterian, has supported the Cumberland Presbyterian affiliated Bethel University through the years.

     In addition to his work with Bethel University, Perryman is a Partner of Abacus CPA's, LLC, one of the leading Certified Public Accounting firms in Springfield, Mo. He also serves as Partner of Abacus Technologies, LLC. Perryman, a native of Calico Rock, Ark., graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. After starting his accounting career in Arkansas, Perryman had an opportunity to move to Springfield, Mo., and formed his own practice, Perryman & Associates in 2000 where he was the sole owner. In January of 2011, Perryman joined forces with the owner of another local firm and formed what is now known as Abacus CPAs, LLC.

     Perryman has also served as an elder in both the Calico Rock Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Springfield, Mo., Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
