Bethel University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates have once again achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the NCLEX, the nurse licensure examination that determines nursing readiness. With this accomplishment by the school’s May 2017 nurse graduates, Bethel has now achieved the perfect pass rate for four out of the last five years.
“This is an achievement that is extremely rare for nursing programs,” said Mary Bess Griffith, Nursing Program Director. “And this accomplishment stands as recognition of the outstanding work done by each and every one of the nursing faculty and staff as well as the nursing students here at Bethel. It’s full commitment by everyone to give the health profession the best nurses possible.”
Griffith said that type of commitment is becoming well known in the region.
“Our students are highly sought after graduates by employers in the West and Middle Tennessee regions,” she said.
“Bethel’s nursing program continues to shine brightly, and I know that this is not just something that happens,” said Bethel President Walter Butler. “There is a right mix of knowledgeable and caring instructors, a solid program framework and great student work ethic. Part of that is that we recruited great students, but part of that too is that we have people in place who are instilling a love and passion for the profession and a work ethic that truly helps our students stand out.”
The Bethel University Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program prepares its graduates for entry level Registered Nurse positions in primary, secondary, and tertiary health care settings and for entry into graduate studies which lead to advanced degrees in nursing.
Bethel University also offers an online RN-BSN program that accomplishes the same outcomes as the on-site BSN program.
