The deadline to compete for Bethel University’s most prestigious scholarship, the Hendrix Scholarship, is this Friday, Nov. 3. The Hendrix Scholarship offers full tuition, room and board for four years to one recipient per year. The scholarship is awarded following a two-day competition that includes both testing and interview rounds. This year’s Hendrix Scholarship Competition is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11 on Bethel’s McKenzie campus. The Hendrix Scholarship Competition is a premier scholarship program established in 1988 by Mr. Willard R. Hendrix of Nashville, Tenn. The competition is for traditional undergraduate prospective students.
A student must be a high school senior with at least a 3.25 GPA and a 23/1050 or above ACT/SAT score to be considered for the competition.
In addition to the overall winner of the competition earning a full tuition, room and board scholarship for four years, the runner-up will earn a full tuition scholarship for four years, and all other competitors will be considered for Bethel's remaining institutional grants.
Students must maintain a cumulative GPA while in college to keep the scholarship.
Note: students who qualify for a Bethel University staff waiver are not eligible to compete in the Hendrix competition.
