Renaissance's instrumental portion began with a marching band in the fall of 2005 with 42 members on the field and has steadily increased every year since that time. The marching band with be over 100 members strong for the Fall 2010 season. The marching band performs at all the home football games, has performed at numerous high school marching competitons as the exhibition band, and has participated in area parades. The pep band performs at all home basketball games and was featured in a front page story in The Jackson Sun newspaper (Click here to read the story). The concert and pops band perform in concerts every spring. The Renaissance band recently celebrated their first music major graduates.
