The Staff

Glenda Cary is the Director of Foodservice at Bethel University. She, her assistant Judy Glisson, and Kitchen Manager Barbra Grissom supervise a staff of 25 who work diligently to provide positive dining experiences for the Bethel community. Mrs. Cary begins her fifth year at Bethel after more than 20 years of foodservice management in the private sector.
“Miss Glenda” as she is known by students, always looks for ways to improve food quality and service. Since coming to Bethel, she has increased training for the cafeteria staff, looked for ways to offer more food choices, and met regularly with student committees to gather as much customer input as possible.
“We realize the university dining experience may never be the same as eating at home,” Miss Glenda said, “but we do want students to enjoy the meals they eat at school. I want students, faculty, and staff to feel free to talk with me about problems they experience or suggestions for improving their dining experience. You can even submit your favorite recipes from home by clicking the link on our webpage.”
Miss Glenda also encourages students who are invited to serve on the food committee to take advantage of that opportunity.
