College is a huge transition and every college student will feel stressed at some point.  Don't hold it all in and let it get the best of you.  We're here to help!!



Sandy Louden, our Director of Orientation, Tutoring, Retention & Counseling is available to talk with you or to find someone who can help you through this difficult time.  Sandy has been with Bethel for 15+ years and has a wealth of knowledge and resources to help you along your way.  You can reach Sandy at 731-352-4095 or loudens@bethelu.edu



Heather Stone, the Student Development Counselor, is also available to assist students with a variety of issues.  Heather is a new addition to our Student Life staff and comes with several years of experience in crisis counseling.  She is excited and ready to help students succeed.  You can reach Heather at 731-352-4246 or stoneh@bethelu.edu.

You can also visit Sandy or Heather at their offices in the Marrs-Stockton Student Center Monday through Friday.  If you need to speak to someone in the evening or on the weekend, please contact the local adult crisis line at 1-800-353-9918 or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).  If it is an emergency, please call security, go to the local emergency room or call 911. 

The bottom line

Our goal in the Office of Student Life is to help you deal with problems before they become unmanageable.  If Sandy or Heather is unable to assist you, they will find someone who can, while maintaining support for you along the way.  We care about our students and our goal is to see the students have a HEALTHY Student Life!  So, please feel free to stop by and meet Sandy & Heather anytime.
