UPCOMING EVENTS FOR THE FALL 2009 SEMESTER
(So don't tell me there's nothin' to do!)
Note: All activities are free to Bethel Students

August:

THURS., 8/13 - FRESHMAN ORIENTATION. This is mandatory for incoming Freshmen. So, come get oriented!

FRI., 8/21 - STUDENT MIXER. SGA and Student Activities will host a mixer on the Student Center patio. Come share in the snacks and games and learn a little about the folks you're going to classes with.

TUE., 8/25 - CONVOCATION. Attendance is required for this event held in the auditorium.

THUR., 8/27 - NO MONEY POKER. We're trying something new. There will be NO MONEY poker classes and poker games about every other Thursday evening, with the first class scheduled for August 27.

THUR., 8/31 - MOVIE NIGHT. Starts about 8:00 in the Oasis. Popcorn, soda, and giveaways after the show.

September:

EACH TUESDAY IS FITNESS NIGHT and we're dancing again this semester!! Swing, Salsa, and Step.

FRI., 9/11 - MOVIE NIGHT. Starts about 8:00 in the Oasis. Popcorn, soda, and giveaways after the show.

MON., 9/14 - "BLIZZARD OF BUCKS" GAME SHOW - Bouldin Auditorium. Come play and win money! (It's not just for Freshmen anymore.)

MON., 9/14 - FALL RUSH FOR GREEKS begins. Watch for signs!

WED., 9/17 - CONSTITUTION DAY! Be informed and win stuff! Besides activities in the dorms, a display and questionnaire will be available in the Student Center. The first three questionnaires drawn that are correctly filled out will win $25 each.

MON., 9/21 - CRAFT NIGHT - 7:00 p.m. in the Oasis. Our first craft night of the semester will be Basic Cake Decorating. Be sure to sign up with Ms. Victoria because space is limited.

FRI., 9/25 - POKER TOURNAMENT - Our first game night of the semester will be a Poker Tournament. You don't PAY anything, but you might win $$. Other games are available too, as well as birthday cake for the August/September birthdays.

WED., 9/30 - BLOOD DRIVE - Roll up your sleeves and do a good thing! A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held in the Oasis from 12:00 till 6:00. Free BandAids!

MON., 10/5 - MOVIE NIGHT -  8:00 p.m. in the Oasis (something scary!) Popcorn, soda and giveaways after the show!

THURS., 10/8 and FRI., 10/9 - FALL BREAK! Go chill out!

THUR., 10/15 - CRAFT NIGHT - Craft Night goes outside. Come experience Tie-Dye night at the Student Center patio. We'll have some free t-shirts to give away to dye. Don't limit yourself to a shirt! Bring your sox, shorts, pillowcases, or your roommate's stuff! We'll have music and snacks also.

MON., 10/19 through SAT., 10/24 - HOMECOMING WEEK!!

THUR., 10/22 - HOMECOMING BONFIRE - 9:00 p.m.

FRI., 10/23 - HOMECOMING COFFEE HOUSE - 9:00 p.m. in the Oasis.

SAT., 10/24 - HOMECOMING PARADE / HOMECOMING GAME / HOMECOMING DANCE (Semi-formal).

TUE., 10/27 - THE "GREAT PUMPKIN" GAME SHOW - Come up the answers to spooky questions and win cash and weird stuff.

THUR., 10/29 - FALL FESTIVAL - Bethel's Third Annual Fall Festival. All our campus groups (and a few awesome individuals) team up to host games, activities, fun and nonsense on our campus for the kids in the community (Plenty of fun for you big kids too!)

November:

THUR., 11/5 - MOVIE NIGHT - 8:00 p.m. in the Oasis. Popcorn, soda and giveaways fter the movie.

TUE., 11/10 - MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO! - Come pick your music, and perform it in front of the Green Screen! Costumes and props will be available to make you act a terrific one. Then, take home a free CD of your performance.

FRI., 11/13 - BIG FAT BINGO! - In the Oasis. We start at 7:00 p.m. and quit when we run out of prizes. Lots of prizes, food and fun. Just whomp the guy next to you if he Bingos before you do. (Just Kidding!!)

MON., 11/23 - CRAFT NIGHT - Christmas is right around the corner (well, after Fall Finals anyway) and we'll be making ornaments for you to take home for your tree. Please sign up with Ms. V so she'll know how much material to have on hand.

WED., 11/30 - FINALS BEGIN and SO DO STUDY BREAKS! Study break #1 will be breakfast in the Caf at 9:00 p.m. Take a break for some pancakes and sausage.

December:

WED., 12/2 - STUDY BREAK #2 - Chair massages (and movies while you wait your turn).

THUR., 12/3 - STUDY BREAK #3 - DDR and Giveaways in the Oasis.
