Building Bethel’s Future: The Master Plan

In 2003, Bethel's Board of Trustees commissioned a master plan for campus development that envisions a residential student body of 1,200 students and an adult degree program of similar size. That expansion has already begun with a new residence hall (Prosser Hall) in place, paid for, and full of students, an apartment complex, and state-of-the-art athletic facilities. Our vision is to have all phases of the master plan completed by 2010. If you can help us reach our goal, please contact Mike Parker, director of development and capital funding, at 731-415-1073 or at parkerm@bethelu.edu. For an online donation form click here.

What we need to continue to fulfull the mission ...

The Ray and Linda Morris Science Complex -- Funded

With a projected completion date of late 2010, the Ray and Linda Morris Science Complex will provide Bethel University students with the most up-to-date science laboratories. The facility, an annex to our current science building, Odom Hall,  will model energy efficiency and accommodate 50 percent more students in science laboratories. You can watch the construction at www.bethelcam.com.

New Residence Halls -- $4,500,000

The building of additional residence hall facilities is paramount to the fulfillment of our mission. Just after Prosser Hall was built in 2004, it was filled to capacity. Just after Bethel acquired Wildcat Cove apartment complex in 2005, it was filled to capacity. We need to build residence halls to support our present student population, and we want to be prepared with enough space for an additional 300 students.

Renovate Odom Hall -- $1,000,000

As we construct The Ray and Linda Morris Science Complex to better meet our mission, we will need to upgrade and reconfigure Bethel's current Odom Hall science building.  We must outfit our new faciity with the same state-of-the-art furnishings and equipment found in high-tech research laboratories. Significant investments toward this endeavor by people like you will touch the lives of students for years to come.

The Campaign Leaders

Bethel is fortunate to have capable and loyal leaders among our alumni and friends who will be leading the capital campaign. Ben Cantrell is the National Campaign Chair, and Vera Low and Ray Morris are Honorary Campaign Co-Chairs.
