Under the general direction of Vice-president of College of Arts and Sciences and direct supervision of Dean of Student Development, the Chief of Campus Security & Safety is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating all programs of Security and Safety at Bethel University.  This position provides direct supervision of security officers and administrative assistants; maintains Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System certification and enters all crime reports to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation,in the absence of Administrative Assistant II; facilitates all meetings and training sessions with Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and other emergency personnel; briefs and assists the Dean of Student Development as needed with students; and establishes and maintains all communication with outside police and emergency agencies.  A bachelor's degree or 3-5 years experience in law enforcement, MP training, or security administration is required.  Applicants must be able to obtain armed Security License, TBI Certification, CPR certification, and AED certification.
