Under the general direction supervision of the Head Football Coach the Defensive Assistant will coach a defensive position and coordinate the defense. The coach's primary responsibility will be  instructing the  student-athlete, teaching various athletic methods of success, as well as training them in the proper style. Furthermore, the coach will directly educate the student-athlete on how to best succeed in their chosen athletic endeavor. In short the coach will be expected to instruct student-athletes how to succeed in sport and in life through techniques demonstrated, modeled, and shown in practice as well as in the classroom and in life.  Other duties include recruitment of qualified student-athletes; monitors study hall; maintaining equipment and facilities; and oversees defensive staff in developing a game plan and play book.  Bachelor’s Degree with related work experience in coaching football is required.
