Adjunct Faculty, Contemporary Issues in Sports

Bethel University College of Professional Studies is seeking adjunct candidates to teach “Contemporary Issues in Sports” in our online MBA graduate program.

The “Contemporary Issues in Sports” instructor will instruct students within the curriculum in a manner that facilitates student learning and student success. The instructor must possess the ability to work with students from different socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. Candidate must upload cv/resume and unofficial transcripts for consideration.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

1. Teach the course curriculum with accuracy. Build knowledge and develop student skills.

2. Maintain accurate records on all students, including but not limited to attendance records, schedules and course requirements regarding hours of instruction and content.

3. Evaluate and document students’ progress through testing, observation, and assessment of skills attained.

4. Communicate effectively with students and all those affiliated with the course.

5. Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, and interpersonal skills.

6. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Dean.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Terminal degree with 18 hours in Contemporary Issues in Sports or equivalent.

2. Teaching experience preferred.

3. Knowledge of teaching methods, curriculum, and education programs.

4. Must be organized and have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.

5. Knowledge of and ability to apply current education methodologies and techniques.
