Assistant Professor of Music (Music Education/Voice)

POSITION:

The College of Arts and Sciences at Bethel University seeks a qualified candidate for appointment as Assistant Professor of Music (Music Education/Voice) in the Department of Music. This full-time permanent position (24 credit hours per year) will begin August 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will teach courses in Music Education and maintain a vocal studio. Teaching additional coursework or directing a choral ensemble will be based on qualifications, experience, and department needs. Other responsibilities for this position include serving as Program Coordinator for Music Education, academic advising, serving on Teacher Education Committee, and working cooperatively with colleagues to realize the mission of the university.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters Degree in Music Education. Terminal Degree or ABD preferred.
  • K-12 teaching experience preferred.
  • Evidence of teaching voice at the collegiate or equivalent level.
