Assistant Professor of Music (Music Industry)

The College of Arts and Sciences at Bethel University seeks a qualified candidate for appointment as Assistant Professor of Music (Music Industry) in the Department of Music. This full-time (24 credit hours per year), non-tenure track position will begin August 2020. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will teach curriculum in music production, mentor and coordinate student internships, and participate in curriculum planning and assessment. Additional teaching responsibilities are contingent upon the candidate’s qualifications. Other responsibilities for this position include academic advising, assist in the management of studio facilities and department ensemble recordings, oversee department work study students, serve on Department, College and University committees as appropriate, and work cooperatively with colleagues to realize the mission of the university.

Minimum Master’s degree required. Candidates must have professional experience, a strong commitment to teaching, entrepreneurial experience in the music industry, a thorough understanding of current trends in music industry, potential to recruit talented students, and the ability to communicate effectively with students and peers.
