Assistant Professor of Music (Music Production)

POSITION:

The College of Arts and Sciences at Bethel University seeks a qualified candidate for appointment as Assistant Professor of Music (Music Production) in the Department of Music. This non-tenure track, full-time permanent faculty position will begin January 1, 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will teach curriculum in music production. Additional coursework will be based on qualifications. The candidate will also participate in curriculum planning, assessment, and work cooperatively with colleagues to realize the mission of the university. Other responsibilities may include coordinating student internships, academic advising, and serving on College and University committees as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree required. Terminal degree preferred. Candidates must have professional experience, a strong commitment to teaching, production experience in the music industry, a thorough understanding of current trends in music industry, potential to recruit talented students, and the ability to communicate effectively with students and peers. As Bethel University is an Avid Learning Partner, preference will be given to candidates proficient in Pro Tools.
