Financial Aid Loan Originator

Bethel University is seeking candidates to work in University Financial Services.

The Financial Aid Loan Originator is responsible for ordering Title IV funds (Federal Student Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans, Direct Plus loans, Federal Pell and Teach Grants). The order of funding is electronically communicated to the Department of education via EDE or COD system.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Review and correct all rejected loans daily.

2. Audit Award worksheets.

3. Originate/certify all Federal Pell, Student Loans, Plus Loans, and Teach Grants.

4. Maintain Parent Plus worksheets for traditional students and excel spreadsheet.

5. Maintain and lock Traditional Financial Aid Awards in CAMS.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or 3-5 years’ experience in Financial Aid.

Reports to: Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Finance/Chief Financial Officer for Special Projects
