Medical Director

Reports to: Program Director

Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: The Medical Director ensures that both the didactic and clinical instruction meets current practice standards.

Under the general direction of PA Program Director

Under the direct supervision of PA Program Director responsible for 1 shift, 8 hours/day, 1 day/week.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

1. Be an advocate for the program in the medical and academic communities.

2. Support the program director.

3. Participate in the development of the mission statement and program competencies.

4. Participate in the selection of applicants for admission to the program.

5. Evaluate student performance.

6. Counsel and advise students regarding academic matters.

7. Participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum.

8. Assist with administration and evaluation of the program.
