Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include teaching and evaluating students. Serve as an assigned advisor for PA students in didactic and clinical year classes. Contribute to the program recruitment and admissions process. Involvement in the activities of regional, state and national organizations concerned with promoting a positive image of the PA concept. Participate in Committee activities and provide advising and academic counseling of students. Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum for PA education. Work with the program and college leadership to maintain continued accreditation. Participate ion didactic and clinical team and teach in areas of expertise
Qualifications: Experience educating PA students either as a clinical preceptor or as a faculty member is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience. The ability to work collaboratively is essential. The ideal candidate must be a graduate of an accredited PA Program, possess a graduate degree, (master's or doctorate), be NCCPA certified with appropriate clinical practice experience, and hold a current PA license in Tennessee or be eligible for licensure. Applicants must demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Candidates must also: exhibit abilities in planning and organization; possess a solid work ethic and a positive attitude; be resourceful and computer literate. Some travel is required.
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience. This position is full-time with one clinical release day.
