University Relations Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing will oversee the development and implementation of the marketing strategy and tactics required to increase enrollment at all colleges within the university.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Be committed to the new branding, marketing campaigns and strategies, and website the university has recently put in place.

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and tactics
  • Maintain responsibility for department operations, including the recruitment, management, development, and retention of the marketing staff
  • Set and manage department budget and goals, including media expenditures and appropriate marketing channels
  • Select and manage multiple external agency vendors necessary to support our marketing activities
  • Compile full-cycle marketing analytics necessary to optimize our results
  • Be flexible to completing any other additional assigned duties

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and seven-ten years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Proven ability to achieve an organization's vision, values and programs through marketing initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging integrated marketing strategies to achieve goals. Portfolio required.
  • Strong marketing management skills and the ability to persuade and influence decision-makers across all levels of an organization
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Proven people manager, with the ability to motivate, grow and train staff across functions
  • Prior experience in planning and managing department budget
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to senior managers
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite and Google docs
