Writing Specialist
Full-time writing specialist assisting undergraduate students with research writing process strategies through appointments and email; coordinates library website writing resource supports; assist with evening duties as assigned to support the library.
Responsible for 1 shift, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Schedule Sunday-Thursday 3:30 p.m. to Midnight during academic year.
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Assists students with writing projects through appointments, or email in the evenings, including Sunday.
- Primary focus is undergraduate writing intensive project support.
- Assists students with writing process including strategies, citation formatting, paper outline, and grammar.
- Assist in creation of writing resources supports on the library's resource supports listings. 5. Coordinates writing instruction workshops.
- The position is located in the Bethel University Library and serves as back-up evening building closer as needed.
- Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.

Qualifications:
Associate degree (bachelor's degree preferred); minimum three years of relevant experience or equivalent college courses in subject matter.
