Atlanta, GA– The Atlanta Silverbacks Football Club has announced the signing of attacking midfielder Kebba Demba for the upcoming 2018 NPSL season. The 24-year-old midfielder most recently played in the NPSL last season with Memphis City FC. Demba has most recently played for Bethel University (TN) in the college ranks, previously playing at Mohammed Kamara's school Tyler Junior College in Texas.

Head coach Roberto Neves called Demba "a very good player," noting that he played "smart and simple." Neves added, "I am very excited about him."  

General manager Phoday Dolleh shared the same sentiments, saying "we are very excited about the signing of Kebba Demba." After seeing him in college and across the conference in Memphis, Dolleh knows what he is getting with the attacking midfielder.

"He is one of the most well-rounded players in this league," Dolleh said. "He is a joy to watch. A two-footed play maker that can score goals. And he has no problem doing the dirty workin front of the goal."

Demba noted that the veteran presence and talent-rich roster is something he is excited about. "There are plenty of good and experienced players on this team."

The thought of contributing to this team and competing for a championship certainly have him ready for 2018. "I am excited to play with these guys."

Demba as an Honorable Mention All-American his senior season with Bethel and finished with 31 career goals as a Wildcat.
