MCKENZIE, TN –  Bethel University’s Renaissance Theatre will bring the watery magic of Broadway’s The Little Mermaid to the Dixie stage in April, giving theater-goers a chance to experience the rich costumes and colorful sets while enjoying the musical talents of Bethel’s Renaissance Theatre students. With performances at 7 p.m. April 5, 2 p.m. April 6, and 7 p.m. April 12 and 13, there are plenty of chances to catch Ariel and her friends under the sea.

The Little Mermaid is sponsored by Huntingdon Insurance and S&S Insurance. Tickets are $15 and $20.  Don’t miss the meet-and-greet with the cast immediately following the 2 p.m. performance on Saturday, April 6. Space is limited; tickets are $20 per child.

Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for all ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including "Under the Sea,” Part of Your World" and "Kiss the Girl."
