Academic/Career Counseling

The Office of Career Services will discuss majors and/or career possibilities with you. We will help you objectively address concerns and goals and decide whether you should continue your studies in a graduate program or seek your first post-college job.

Internship Creation and/or Placement

We also provide some assistance in developing internship opportunities in which you might be interested, or we can find a good fit in a current internship where you can gain valuable work experience and build your resume while you complete your studies. Some of the internships are paid internships, and some are available for course credit pending approval from your department chair and the academic dean.  We do not do direct placement into internships; rather, we give you the lead on the opportunity and the tools to "land" the opportunity, but you have to go out and get it.

Career Development Counseling and Training

We will discuss career opportunities, research graduate school information with you, and assist you in writing your resume and supporting materials (such as cover letters, reference sheets, and other professional documents).  We’ll also guide you as you write your graduate school essays, and we’ll gladly conduct mock interviews and other interview preparation activities with you.

Assistance in Securing Part-Time and Full-Time Employment

The Office of Career Services maintains a Facebook Page, where all full- and part-time job opportunities, as well as any information we receive regarding internships, summer employment, scholarship opportunities, on-campus interviews, special presentations and annual Job Markets held at neighboring schools are posted. We also post information about other job or graduate school fairs.  Job opportunities' specfics are sent directly to students through their Bethel email and posted on the Career Services bulletin board in the Vera Low Center for Student Enrichment.
