“Greek Life is more than just your average campus organization. It is not an exclusive club, like some, because anyone and everyone can join. It is an organization that has the ability to change the lives of every student on campus. Ever since I have rushed Phi Mu Alpha, I have felt more connected to this campus and to my brothers. The world needs more youth involved in something as transformative as Greek Life.”
Heather Peeples is a Junior from Lafayette, Tennessee, majoring in Human Performance with an emphasis in Exercise Science. She is the Vice President for Zeta Nu Theta Sorority and secretary for Greek Council. "People sometimes ask why I love Greek Life. Greek Life is more than just the letters worn on a t-shirt or the traditions learned. Being in Greek Life is learning to give without anything in return. It is learning to gain respect for others and yourself. It is about finding yourself and setting a positive example in hopes of one day breaking the stereotype put upon Greek life. I found my forever home within Zeta Nu Theta, and I have created life long friendships with my sisters. I know I will always have my sisters to count on and to help me to take life one step at a time."
Kintevius Newsom is a junior majoring in Business Management with a minor in Accounting. He is from Selmer, TN and is the Greek Council Treasurer, a brother of Kappa Phi Rho Fraternity, and president of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. He is also a manager for the Bethel Univeristy Wildcat Football Team.
"I love Greek Life because of the bond that fraternities and sororities share. It brings us all together and motivates others to join something bigger than themselves. It helps us realize our true character and reach our full potential."
Kevin Nolan is a junior from Lexington, Tennessee, majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in psychology. He is the president of Zeta Delta Tau Fraternity, the Parliamentarian for Greek Council, and he is a member of the Renaissance Regiment.
"When I first came to Bethel University, I didn’t know many people. Eventually, I made a few acquaintances. When I met the brothers of Zeta Delta Tau, they welcomed me with open arms. I knew this group was the one I wanted to be a part of. It is one of the main reasons I am on campus today. It is always great to have brothers that will have your back."
