Two Bethel University student-athletes have received golf scholarships donated by the Peppers Automotive Group. Tessa Myers, a freshman from Hendersonville, Tn., was the recipient of the women’s scholarship. Isaac Holley, a junior from Dickson, Tn., was the recipient of the men’s scholarship.

Coach Larry Joe Smith said, “Tessa carried an 82 average in her first semester of college golf. She is an outstanding representative and spokesperson for Wildcat Women's golf.”

In describing Holley, a fourth-year member of the men's golf team, Coach John Austin commented, “His hard work and determination have helped Isaac improve each year he has been a part of the program. He is well-deserving of this scholarship.”

Brad Chappell, Bethel University Senior Athletics Director, noted the importance of Peppers' support of Bethel Athletics, including their support of Bethel Golf and as a Game Day sponsor for Bethel's Football Homecoming.

“Peppers Ford in McKenzie has been such a good partner for Bethel Athletics," he said. "We certainly appreciate their involvement and interest in the success of our student-athletes. Daron and Ryan truly understand the value of investing in the local community and higher education.”

Ryan Peppers, Daron Harrison, Adam Matheny and Kenny McBride represented the Peppers Group at the presentation. Bethel Vice-President of Development and Marketing Dr. Kimberly Martin, Bethel Senior Athletic Director Brad Chappell, Bethel Golf coaches Larry Joe Smith and John Austin, Bethel Cheer team members Latrelle Foster and Breanna Rood, and Bethel mascot Rowdy were on hand representing the Wildcats.
