Nursing Program Application/ Process
Direct Entry Pathway: First-Year Students & Transfer Students
Getting started is simple: apply to Bethel as a Nursing major. That single application does double duty. Once your file is complete, you'll receive your admission decision to the University first, and the Department of Nursing will then make a separate direct entry admission decision based on the same application. No extra forms, no waiting until junior year to find out whether nursing is in your future.
Apply as a Transfer Student
First-Year Admission Requirements
To qualify for direct entry into the nursing program, new first-year students must meet one of the following requirements:
A cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
An ACT composite score of 20 or higher, or an SAT score of 1030 or higher
Transfer Admission Requirements
Transfer students qualify for direct entry based on credit hours completed:
Fewer than 24 credit hours:
A cumulative college GPA of 2.75
A cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, an ACT composite score of 20 or higher, or an SAT score of 1030 or higher.
24 or more credit hours: A cumulative college GPA of 2.75
LPN to BSN Pathway
Applying is simple: you apply to Bethel University using the Undergraduate Application for Adult Degree Students. There is a $30 application fee. To enter the nursing coursework, you will need a current LPN license, a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, your general education and science prerequisites completed or in progress, and a TEAS or HESI entrance exam score from within the last two years. The program admits one cohort each year for fall entry.
