Application Checklist
Complete the Adult Degree Application for Admission
Complete the entire Adult Degree Application thoroughly and submit the non-refundable application fee of $30. You can apply using the following methods:
Official High School Transcripts
Adult Degree students who have not attended a college previously or have attended college and earned fewer than 24 semester hours of credit must submit an official high school transcript. A high school equivalency diploma (HiSET or GED) may be accepted in lieu of a high school diploma. A passing HiSET or GED score is considered to be a 2.0 GPA. A special education diploma or high school certificate is not acceptable.
Request that official transcripts be sent from the high school directly to the Office of Admissions. For a transcript to be official, it may not be marked “Issued to Student." Bethel will accept official transcripts via mail, email from school, Parchment, or Clearinghouse.

Official College Transcripts
Students who have earned college credit previously must request that official transcripts from all colleges attended be sent directly to the Office of Admissions. For a transcript to be official, it may not be marked “Issued to Student." Bethel will accept official transcripts via mail, Parchment, or Clearinghouse.

Training documents: (i.e., Certificates).
Applicants are asked to provide training documents to be eligible for credit for previous Fire and/or Law Enforcement Academy training, Advance Standing credit, or Prior Learning credit.
Photo ID
Applicants are asked to provide a photo ID. This could include a valid driver’s license, or another form of government-issued ID (such as a passport).
Requirements for Applicants with Less than Three Years of Work Experience:
Applicants lacking three years of work experience must submit:
- Two letters of recommendation
- An admissions essay
- A professional resume
