Records Specialist

Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: The Records Specialist provides services in support of the maintenance of academic records for students enrolled in the College of Professional Studies. This includes transcript evaluation and maintenance, prior learning assessment, degree audits, and oversight of the CPS portion of commencement. The Records Specialist oversees the CPS Catalog and works closely with the University Registrar to ensure all of the institution’s policies and procedures are followed.

Responsible for 1 shift, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Incumbents are subject to callback as deemed necessary.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate Transcripts

2. Evaluate Degree Audits

3. Assist with student registration

4. Evaluate Military records

5. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

6. Oversee/ Manage the CPS portion of commencement

7. Evaluate student records for satisfactory academic progress

8. Evaluate non-traditional college credits, including but not limited to, Military Service and Law Enforcement Training

9. Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed
